Give me your worst job.

I mean it. Give me the worst job in the building. It could be working at 1 a.m., alphabetizing the newsroom's source list or dusting the computer desks each night. Certainly, I'd like to be a multimedia journalist and anchor, but more importantly, I'd like to be a part of the team. A team doesn't operate at its fullest unless everyone is on board with the mission. And in the case of the newsroom, that mission is to tell great stories. I've covered stories of high-profile trials, city and state government and investigating questions my community wants answers about. I was on scene for my station during national news events - protests in Ferguson, Missouri, a student movement at the University of Missouri that led to the school's top officials stepping down and the COVID-19 pandemic. I also helped take those stories further by helping launch and lead our station's first unit dedicated to investigative reporting. I told those stories as part of a team, and helped create content on multiple platforms. So whether it's a camera, a keyboard or a broom in my hand, I'd like to work for the team.
